This new pride of the MMA is the brain-child of our MMA President, Datuk Dr N Athimulam, and was officially declared open by the President of MMA Foundation, Tan Sri Dato’ Azman Hashim on 12th April 2002. The MMA Bunga Raya Dining Hall is a meeting cum dining area for members and guests.

JOHOR BAHRU

A property was purchased by the MMA Johor Branch at Larkin Perdana, Johor Bahru, at a cost of RM199,000 in 1996. It is located at the 1st storey of a 4-storey shoplot – No. 39-01, Jalan Susur Larkin Perdana Satu, Taman Larkin Perdana, Johor Bahru. It has been renovated and equipped with office equipments which amounted to about RM60,000. It is an asset of the National MMA. The office was officially declared open by the then MMA President, Datuk Dr P Krishnan, in September 2000. Now it housed the MMA Johor Branch secretariat.

IPOH, PERAK

The new shoplot purchased on behalf of MMA (Perak) is situated in the heart of Ipoh with ready access to all the important buildings. It is literally a stone’s throw from the new State Secretariat and less than a kilometre from the Hospital Ipoh. It is connected to the North-South Highway by the only flyover in Ipoh. Parking is ample all round after office-hours and there are four main restaurants in the vicinity. All in all it is the hub of activity and very well located for MMA activities.

The total land area is 1,440sq. feet and the shoplot itself is a 2-storey structure measuring about 18 1/2 feet by 72 feet on each floor. The lower floor is currently occupied by Nationwide Express who are our long term tenants. The upper floor which houses the MMA (Perak) office has two office rooms, one of which doubles up as our store. The other room is utilised by our long-serving Secretary, Ms Malar. There is a small meeting hall used for committee meetings and a much larger hall which can easily accommodate 50 members. The latter can double up as a recreation room/lounge when there is no CPD in progress. The entire flooring is tiled and a sliding door connects the two halls thus allowing for an expanded capacity when necessary.

CPDs are now being regularly held in MMA House as audio-visual facilities are readily available including LCD projector and cordless mikes.
