MMA CPD FOR DOCTORS

More About CPD Points
Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) Standard Operating Procedure

Starting from 2020, it is compulsory for all doctors to obtain a minimum of 20 CPD points for APC renewal. CPD points must be accumulated within the CPD cycle from 1 July to 30 June of the following year.

CPD points will be automatically reflected in the MMA CPD Mobile Application once attendance has been recorded by the event organiser through their registered MMA CPD Provider account.

Attendance is recorded either by scanning the doctor’s QR code during the event, which is reflected in real time, or by manual entry by the organiser within 14 days after the event.

If CPD points are not reflected in the system, this may be due to incorrect entry of the IC number, attendance not being keyed in by the organiser, or the event not being registered under the MMA CPD system. Doctors are advised to contact the event organiser directly for clarification and assistance.

Only events organised by registered MMA CPD Providers and approved under the MMA CPD system are eligible for CPD accreditation. Approved events are listed in the MMA CPD Mobile Application. Events conducted locally that are not registered under the MMA CPD system are not eligible for CPD points.

For overseas CPD events, overseas online CPD modules, and publications, applications for CPD accreditation must be submitted individually through the MMA CPD Mobile Application under manual submission. Supporting documents, including the certificate of attendance or proof of completion, must be uploaded for review. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and reviewed within 30 days.

For each completed CPD cycle (1 July to 30 June), doctors may download the MMA CPD Certificate through the MMA CPD Mobile Application, if required.
