06 November 2017 Cheaper to rope in GP clinics
THE opening of a health clinic in a ?ve-storey shoplot in Kota Damansara was seen as a move to
provide easy access to healthcare services for people seeking treatment. I have been made to understand that for this reason, the Govern-ment is planning to open more
health clinics in commercial premises, including shopping malls.
16 November 2017 Use existing clinics, say GPs
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Medical Association has called on the Health Ministry to use the expertise of existing general practitioners (GPs) and infrastructure in the private practice, instead of building new clinics.
Its president Dr Ravindran R. Naidu made the call while lauding the ministry’s opening of a ?vestorey shoplot health clinic in Kota Damansara and the possibility of more such clinics in commercial buildings as a positive move for easy access to the public.
