9 September 2025 – Schomos launches ‘wage theft’ survey among doctors in hospitals
PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Medical Association’s (MMA) section concerning house officers, medical officers and specialists (Schomos) has launched a “wage theft” survey among doctors in public hospitals to find out the extent to which they are being forced to work extra hours without pay.

8 September 2025 – Fulfil Promise To Increase On-Call Allowance This Year — Malaysian Medical Association
MMA is “deeply disappointed” with Health Minister Dr Dzul’s statement that doctors’ on-call allowance may only be increased next year. “The government must realise that if it fails to care for its doctors and distrust creeps in, it risks losing them.”

3 September 2025 – MMA Lauds Sarawak’s Stricter Vape Controls — Malaysian Medical Association
The Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) commends the Sarawak state government for taking a strong stand against vape through stricter controls and enhanced enforcement on vape sales under the Control of Smoking Products for Public Health Act 2024 (Act 852), from October 1, 2025.
