MMA rejects new shift system for public clinics, says health workers already overworked and stressed

KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 — The Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) has
come out strongly against the Health Ministry’s new shift system for
government clinics, arguing that public healthcare workers already
overworked due to manpower shortages would not be able to cope.

said the Health Ministry must act against third-parties openly advertising
Covid-19 screening in violation of legal restrictions against such
promotions.

MMA wants PM to look at overlooked areas in healthcare sector

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) has called
on the government to address some of the overlooked developments
facing the healthcare sector in its economic recovery plan.
Its president Dr N Ganabaskaran said the government should come to the
aid of General Practitioner (GP) Clinics by giving them rental subsidies.
